Project Overview

Baseline Structure is a 116m swing bridge comprising of a concrete tail arm span and all steel nose arm span
rotating about an off-center pier. The project consisted of the following major work:


Structural Repairs:

  • structural steel reinforcing to sidewalk brackets in tail span
  • steel curb plate installs
  • concrete curb replacement in tail span
  • deck drain replacement
  • steel sidewalk coating replacement and anti-slip surface upgrade misc. concrete patch repairs to soffit, fascia, and sidewalk

Mechanical Repairs:

  • tail lock assembly replacement
  • rocker retract refurbishments
  • lift cylinder refurbishments
  • power pack assembly refurbishment and replacement
  • associated hydraulic hosing replacement
  • final balancing and commissioning
